Scout is a Chrome extension that sits on top of Etsy. Open any search page and it reads what is actually there, then gives you one plain verdict on whether that product is worth your money, with the profit math shown instead of hidden.
You can rewrite a title at midnight. You cannot un-buy forty units of something nobody searches for. Every free tool on the market helps with the reversible half of the job. Scout was built for the half that costs you cash.
This is the arithmetic most sellers do wrong, and it runs entirely in your browser. Enter what you would charge and what it costs you. Fee rates default to Etsy's published US schedule and every one of them is editable, because your situation is yours.
Defaults follow Etsy's published US fee schedule. Rates change and yours may differ, so check them against Etsy's own fees page before you rely on this. Offsite Ads is left at zero because it only charges on an attributed sale.
Type your product idea into Etsy. Scout waits in the toolbar and does nothing until you ask it to.
Scout reads what is publicly on that results page: how many listings compete, how they are priced, how they are titled, where the gaps sit.
Strong, moderate or weak, with the reasoning next to it. Save it as a niche report so you are not re-deciding the same thing next week.
Purpose Built AI would rather lose a sale than make a claim it cannot show the working for. So here is the unflattering version.
The free scan is not a demo with the useful part removed. It is the verdict, on the page, for nothing. The paid plans below are for people who would rather hand the research to someone else entirely.
The quick scan and the profit check, for as long as you want them.
We run the research for you and hand you the shortlist, so you spend your hours making and shipping.
For the shop that is already selling and wants a second research brain on the calendar.
Multiple shops, or one shop moving fast enough that research is a weekly job rather than a monthly one.
Paid plans are month to month. No setup fee, no minimum term, no cancellation call. If a month is not worth it, cancel it.
No, and neither does anyone else. Etsy does not publish per shop sales data. Tools that show you a sales number are producing an estimate from public signals, and most of them do not tell you that. Scout works from what is publicly on the page and says so.
We have no way to know that and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What Scout can do is stop you buying inventory for a product that already has hundreds of near identical listings and no visible demand. Avoiding one bad forty dollar buy is a real, measurable outcome. A revenue promise is not.
You should not trust it on reputation, because it does not have one yet. It was published to the Chrome Web Store in June 2026 and it is new. Trust it the way you would trust a calculator: run the free scan against a niche you already know well and see whether the verdict matches what you already believe. If it does not, do not pay us.
Only Etsy pages. The extension requests permission for etsy.com and nothing else, and the profit check on this page never leaves your browser.
No. They are month to month through Stripe. Cancel from the receipt email or send one line to us and it is done, no retention call and no exit survey holding the button hostage.
Today the extension only reads Etsy. If you sell on other marketplaces, say so when you get in touch. We build custom software for a living and we would rather hear what you actually need than sell you the thing we already made.
