Business process automation
Business process automation for the task you keep repeating
Most small teams lose hours to the same few jobs: copying inquiries from an inbox into a spreadsheet, reconciling two lists that never quite agree, rebuilding the same report every month. Purpose Built AI scopes one of those workflows, builds it, and hands it back with the tests that show it ran and written instructions for running it yourself.
What this is for
Three shapes of work worth automating
Re-entering the same information
An inquiry arrives by email or form, and somebody retypes the name, the phone number and the job into a spreadsheet or a CRM. Manual re-entry can introduce errors, and a mistyped phone number may not be noticed until someone tries to call it back.
Reconciling records that disagree
Two systems hold versions of the same list, and the differences are found by eye. The work is slow, it is never finished, and the result depends on who did it and how tired they were.
Rebuilding the same report
Every week or month, the same export, the same filters, the same chart, pasted into the same document. The format never changes, which is exactly what makes it a candidate.
These are illustrative patterns that describe the kind of work this service covers. They are not descriptions of systems installed at a named client, and no performance figures are claimed for them.
Scoping
What we need from you before anything is quoted
A workflow cannot be priced from a description of the goal. It is priced from the steps. Expect to supply:
- The task walked through once, start to finish, as you do it today, including the parts you work around
- A sample of the real inputs, with anything sensitive removed, so the edge cases are visible
- The systems involved and what kind of access each one allows, which is a question with a real answer and sometimes the answer is no
- Who owns the result, and which steps must have a person approve before anything is sent, charged or deleted
- How often it runs, and what should happen when it fails
If a system has no usable integration path, we say so during scoping rather than after. That is a finding, not a failure, and it is better to learn it before work begins.
What you get
The workflow, the checks and the handoff
The agreed workflow, built
The automation covering the steps written down during scoping. Not an open-ended platform. The agreed path, with the approval points you asked for left in place.
Test evidence
A record of the checks run against your real cases, including the ones designed to fail, so you can see what the automation did rather than take a claim on trust.
Handoff instructions
Written instructions for running it, changing it, and stopping it. If you ever want to take it in-house or hand it to somebody else, the instructions are the deliverable that makes that possible.
Access and approval
Where a person stays in the loop
Automation earns trust by being narrow and visible. Before anything runs against your systems, we review what access is required and what the least-privileged version of it looks like. Steps that send a message to a customer, move money, change a price or delete a record are the steps most worth keeping a human approval on, and that choice is yours to make during scoping, not ours to assume.
Credentials are never requested in chat or email. Access is arranged through the system's own sharing or permission flow, and anything we cannot do without a password stops and waits for you.
Questions
Fair questions, answered plainly
Will this work with the software we already use?
That depends on your specific tools and what access they permit, and it is checked during scoping before anything is quoted. Some systems offer a documented integration, some offer a limited one, and some offer none. We tell you which of the three you have.
How long does it take?
A timeline is agreed after scoping, because it depends on how many steps the workflow has, how clean the inputs are, and how quickly access can be arranged. No timeline is promised here, because one promised before seeing the work would be a guess.
What does it cost?
Every engagement gets a fixed quote in writing before work begins. The quote follows scoping, since the price depends on the steps involved. No price is published on this page because there is no single price that would be honest for every workflow.
What happens if it breaks?
How failures should behave is decided during scoping: stop and alert a person, retry, or skip and log. The handoff instructions cover what to check first, so a failure is something you can diagnose rather than something you have to report and wait on.
Can we see something you have built?
Yes. The AI assistant on the Purpose Built AI homepage is live and you can talk to it right now, and the client work page lists delivered projects. Both show delivered engineering. Neither is a measurement of what an automation would save your business, and no such figure is claimed.
Email Jesse about the task
Tell us what the task is, how often it runs and which systems it touches. You will get an honest answer about whether it is worth automating, including when the answer is no.
